However, standalone units can be purchased to suit smaller or more bespoke project requirements.
Installation is often dependent on available space, in terms of assembly being completed in an existing building or as a freestanding unit.
Where space or project requirements dictate that a unit is required to be separate from a commercial ice maker, a clad wraparound structure can be incorporated.

Mini ice silos
In addition to large orbital ice silos, for smaller scale projects we also provide mini ice silos, which are available with either 500kg or 1,000kg capacity.
These are fully automatic and are typically installed on an elevated robust support frame to allow collection in an ice bin placed underneath.

Aside from automatic ice discharge, mini silos further improve hygiene and reduce contamination thanks to non-CFC insulation and poly lined construction.
Larger Ziegra orbital silos are usually manufactured in precision stainless steel for easy modular assembly and integration with incumbent equipment such as conveying and weighing systems or commercial ice makers.
